About the curtain designer
How do I measure for curtains?
Measure the track width, which is the window plus about 15 to 20 cm each side so the curtains stack clear of the glass, and the drop from the track to the floor. Our curtain measuring guide shows every step. We always measure again at the home visit before anything is cut.
Which heading should I choose?
Wave suits ceiling tracks, motors and modern rooms, pinch pleat is tailored and classic, and eyelet runs on a pole for a relaxed look. See types of curtains for photos and the fullness each heading needs.
What does the fabric estimate include?
It works out the number of fabric widths for your track width at the fullness of the heading, plus hems and heading allowance, for plain fabric. Patterned fabric needs more for the repeat, which we confirm in your quote.
Can I design motorized curtains here?
